LAST PHASE OF DIGITALIZATION

22.8.2014 (Blic, by MRP) - Parallel broadcasting of analogue and digital TV signal as of September 1, 2014, introduces the last phase of digitalization in Serbia. Citizens who still use terrestrial TV - TV sets with a room or roof antenna, will have a better quality of picture.

The only condition is that they have an appropriate TV set, with DVB-T2 receiver, which can receive digital signal, or a set top box, a device that enables older versions of TV set to receive digital signal. Such devices cost in the range of 40 - 100 EUR, which is 10 times cheaper than TV sets which already contain DVB-T2 receivers.

Along with a better quality of picture, digital television offers watching video on demand, while some content will be adjusted to people with hearing problems.
