Prosecution Seeks Maximum Sentence for Milanovic

BELGRADE, June 20, 2002 - In its clsogin address in the trial Dragoljub Milanovic yesterday, the prosecution demanded that the former state media director be given the harshest penalty. Milanovic is charged with the criminal offence of endangering public safety by failing to evacuate staff from the Radio Television Serbia building on April 23, 1999, despite having been warned that NATO would bomb the building that night. Sixteen employees were murdered in the attack.
