Journalist Seeks Damages

BELGRADE, June 20, 2002 - The Belgrade District Court will today hear charges of breach of copyright filed by journalist Ivan Galebovic and Radio Television Serbia against local broadcasters TV Pink, BK TV and RTV Politika and US network CNN. The charges relate to the illegal rebroadcasting of Galebovic's interview with Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica immediately after the fall of the Milosevic government. Galebovic is seeking damages of 650,000 dinars (about 11,000 Euros) from TV Pink and 16.5 million dinars (about 275,000 Euros) from CNN.
