Joint Stock Company for Televsion Centre

KIKINDA, July 2, 2002 - A commission for the founding of a regional Kikinda-based television stations was established last week by decision of the municipal council. The commission is the culmination of the idea of a television centre as a joint stock company with two thirds of the shares owned by the local government. The commission will consist of representatives of the local government, the US donor company Irex and the Yugoslav office of the OSCE. Its task will be to obtain the required licences in preparation fro the adoption of new telecommunications legislation The station will broadcast Serbian and Hungarian language programs over several municipalities.
