Preliminary Committee Adopts Broadcast Bill in Principle

BELGRADE, July 9, 2002 - The Serbian Parliament Culture and Information Committee on Monday adopted in principle the Broadcast Bill on Tuesday's parliament agenda. The committee session focused on a clause concerning the make-up of the influential Broadcast Agency Board. According to the Bill, of the nine members on the Board the Serbian and Vojvodina parliaments will nominate four. Another four will be proposed by the civil society, and these eight will nominate a ninth from Kosovo.
