Lawsuits Against Journalists All the More Frequent

BELGRADE, July 9, 2002 - Commenting on the growing number of lawsuits against journalists, UNS head Ninoslav Brajovic warned that the current regime is also in the habit of phoning editors and journalists to complain against their stories. "Indirectly speaking, this can also be seen as a threat," he said. Brajovic warned that lawsuits exert pressure not only on the journalists but on the editors and owners as well.
