Regional Broadcaster on the Air

VRANJE, July 19, 2002 - A new regional news agency, Vranje Press, began broadcasting a daily program yesterday. As the only electronic media of this kind south of Belgrade, the agency will cover the south-east Europe region. The agency is a project of the NGO Board for Human Rights, with assistance from the Democracy Commission of the US Embassy in Belgrade. Vranje Press will broadcast daily news in Serbian and a weekly news review of events in southern Serbia in English.
