Waiting for Broadcast Agency Council

BELGRADE, August 1, 2002 – Serbia’s long awaited Broadcast Act took effect on the day of its proclamation in the Official Gazette. However, it has not yet been implemented and media will be able to violate regulations until the regulatory body envisaged in the regulation is established. Deputy Prime Minister Zarko Korac claims that the Broadcast Agency Council would be formed within the legal deadline of 45 days.
