Media Seminar in Cacak

CACAK, September 7, 2002 – A seminar on “Media, controlling the authorities or servicing them” began on Friday in the Central Serbian city of Cacak. The seminar has been organised by the Council of Europe, the Cacak Civil Parliament and civic initiatives of the Belgrade Association of Citizens for Democracy and Civic Education. Dismissed Journalists Still Unemployed LESKOVAC, September 10, 2002 – Three dismissed journalists from the Leskovac weekly Nasa Rec who were to have been reinstated by today under a ruling from the Serbian Labour Inspector, have still not been reemployed. Because acting director Andreja Tomasevic, whose mandate for the position expired nine months ago, has still not implemented the ruling, Verica Batorevic-Bozovic, Slobodan Tomic, and Ljiljana Stojanovic are neither working nor receiving salaries.
