Canak Demands Prosecution of “Journalist Warmongerers”

NOVI SAD, September 22, 2002 – Journalists who took part in promoting the wars in the former Yugoslavia must answer for it in court, Nenad Canak said today. The head of the Vojvodina Assembly told a media workshop in Novi Sad that the Nuremburg trials had ordered the execution of journalists because their writing had sentenced millions of people to death. “I’m not saying anyone should be sentenced to death here, but I am saying that every such journalist must sand trial,” said Canak.
