B92 Libel Case Adjourned

BELGRADE, October 16, 2002 – The first hearing at the Smederevska Palanka Municipal Court in the lawsuit filed against B92 by local municipal official and Democratic Party member Radoslav Ljubisavljevic has been adjourned. The adjournment came after Ljubosavljevic asked for the judge to be disqualified. Ljubisavljevic claimed that TV B92 is responsible for the fact that he has “sustained mental anguish” and that it has damaged his reputation by quoting a statement of Democratic Alternative official Dejan Crnomarkovic. Ljubisavljevic has also filed a lawsuit against Crnomarkovic and against Radio "Palanka FM" which had quoted B92’s information.
