KFOR Drops Escorts for Serb Journalists

GRACANICA, November 8, 2002 (Beta) -- KFOR has refused to provide journalists with escort from Gracanica to Pristina explaining that "security conditions have improved". Journalists of the Belgrade and local Serb media are not convinced that the situation is secure enough for safe travel to Pristina without the protection of international troops. For this reason there will be no live coverage of today's Kosovo Parliament session. Despite the “improved security conditions,” Serb MPs are still provided with a police escort.
