Debate on Media Legislation Scheduled

PODGORICA, November 11, 2002 – The speaker of the Montenegrin Parliament, Filip Vujanovic, has called a regular session of the parliament for November 12. On the agenda will be the adoption of a raft of media laws drafted in cooperation with the Council of Europe. The legislation is to take effect immediately. The legislation had originally been scheduled to take effect from May 1 next year after repeated postponement by the Together for Change and Liberal Alliance majority in the former parliament.
