ANEM Protests Over Attack on Journalist

BELGRADE, November 20, 2002 – The Association of Independent Electronic Media today protested over an attack by Partizan football team coach Ljubisa Tumbakovic on RTS journalist Nedeljko Kovinjalo. The Association alleges that Tumbakovic threatened to ban Kovinjalo from entering the Partizan stadium and had to be physically restrained from attacking him. Tumbakovic was said to have been angered by statistical data quoted by Kovinjalo when commenting on the football match.
