RTV Novi Sad Strike to Begin on January 28

NOVI SAD, January 23, 2003 – Radio Television Novi Sad staff are to take industrial action from January 28. Employees are dissatisfied with lists of redundant staff drawn up in preparation for the company’s transformation into a public broadcasting service, describing them as “illegal”. Staff are also demanding the resignation of the director of the state media network, Aleksandar Crkvenjakov, all members of the company’s board and RTV Novi Sad general director Petar Jovanovic.
