Journalists grow impatient to the perturbation of Lecic

NIS, 5 June, 2003 – Following the walk-out of Nis journalists from a pre-arranged press conference last night, Serbian Culture and Media Minister Branislav Lecic said that journalists have to create tension in every situation. Lecic insisted: "If three journalists leave a press conference and this is used to say that journalists were not respected, then that’s ridiculous. You can make tension and “nonsense” out of everything, that’s the easiest thing to do. You can come up with something in no time and do whatever suits you". Journalists of all Belgrade and foreign media left Lecic’s previously announced conference last night because he failed to show up in the Nis Assembly building even an hour after the scheduled time. Only journalists of the local media stayed there to wait for him.
