B92 boss: Constructive criticism welcome

BELGRADE, 20 May, 2003 -- Veran Matic, editor-in-chief of RTV B92, yesterday invited all appropriate institutions and individuals to present their stance on the editorial policy of the company. Reacting to objections made by PM Zivkovic and Serbian Government members about B92’s current affairs programme, Matic said: "We are happy to accept suggestions for the improvement of our news programme. “We cannot, however, accept claims that RTV B92's current affairs programme has a malicious agenda aimed at any institution, political party or individual”. He continued: “RTV B92 will continue to function on the principles that it is the right of the public to be given true and full information and that no issues in public life are sacred cows”.
