No sales tax for newspapers

BELGRADE, 20 May, 2003 – Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic has announced that the Serbian Government will file an amendment to the Draft law on sales tax abolishing the sales tax for newspapers. Speaking at a press conference yesterday following a meeting with media editors, Djelic added that this tax legislation should be ratified by the Parliament in June.
