Predecessor claims new director’s appointment “illegal”

BELGRADE, 14 May, 2003 – Slobodan Spasojevic, former director of the Borba publishing Company, has contested the recent appointment of Zoran Kalicanin as director. In a letter to daily Danas, Spasojevic insisted that the decision appointing Kalicanin was an illegitimate procedure passed by an unauthorised body. Kalicanin was installed as director on 24 April at a session of the Serbia-Montenegro Council of Ministers. Spasojevic explained that the appointment of company director was within the jurisdiction of the Company Management Board.
