Glas javnosti correspondent arrested

KRAGUJEVAC, 24 June, 2003 -- Dragan Alimpijevic, head of Glas javnosti's correspondence office in Sumadija, was detained by local police yesterday morning. According to Alimpijevic, officers escorted him to the office of Zvonko Nesovic, investigative judge of the Kragujevac municipal court, over a libel suit filed against the journalist by president of the Kragujevac Municipal Court Zarko Stevanovic. Alimpijevic has written a series of articles over the past fortnight regarding Stevanovic's alleged shady dealings with football club Vodojaza, of which he is an official.
