Beta opens its first Radio station

NOVI PAZAR, 9 July, 2003 – Radio 100 plus, a new radio station launched by news agency Beta with the help of a donation from the French Government, has hit the airwaves from its base in Novi Pazar. Serbian Deputy Prime Minster Zarko Korac and French Ambassador to Serbia-Montenegro Gabriel Keller both attended the ceremony of the Radio’s opening. Radio 100 plus is Beta’s first electronic medium. According to Beta chief editor Ljubica Markovic, Novi Pazar was chosen as the location for the station in the hope that it will play an important role as a professional and tolerant radio station.
