Party emergency measures

GORNJI MILANOVAC, September 2, 2003 – Representatives of the Democratic Party of Serbia local branch in Gornji Milanovac have been prompted to analyse the work of local media after a local television news program mentioned two municipal public companies – the Municipal Construction Company and the Public Works Company – in a negative context. “Because they don’t say a word about the local authorities, the Democratic are continuing their clogged vent and sewer tactics,” said local Democratic Party of Serbia leader Zvonko Petrovic. “No one talks about positive matters such as the complete reconstruction of several major city streets. This was evident in the report aired by TV GM,” he said, adding that there had still been no decision on whether to introduce emergency measures in the Takovske Novine company which owns the local television and newspaper.
