ROMA NEWS ON TV SMEDEREVO

SMEDEREVO, May 5, 2005 – TV Smederevo will broadcast news in Roma language two times a day, on weekdays. Director of TV Smederevo Vesna Vitorovic said that the “Romano News” would not deal with the Roma issues, but everyday news from Smederevo. The cooperation of the Ministry of Serbia and Montenegro for human rights and minorities is expected. Smederevo has more than 120.000 residents, 5.000 of them being Roma.
