ILIC DISTANCED HIMSELF FROM THE DRAFT PLAN

BELGRADE, May 6, 20005 – Serbian Minister of capital investments Velimir Ilic has distanced himself from the frequency allocation draft plan, which has been forwarded to the public debate by his Ministry and was strenuously criticized by the media associations. Ilic stated that the plan was forwarded without his knowledge and consent, adding that all necessary measures would be taken in order to establish order in the chaotic sphere of radio and TV system in Serbia, said the Capital Ministry in the statement. Member of the Broadcast Council Slobodan Djoric told the Beta news agency last night that the plan came from the Ministry, but that it needed to be revised. Djoric also said that it would be done in cooperation with the OSCE experts and representatives of the biggest media associations.
