NATIONAL FREQUENCY LICENSES

BELGRADE, January 10, 2006 – Deputy President of the Serbian Broadcast Agency Council Aleksandar Vasic said the competition for issuing licenses for national program broadcasting would be announced by the end of January and would be open for 60 days. The Belgrade daily Politika reported that at today's meeting the Republic Broadcasting Agency (RBA) and present users of frequencies should determine the rules on issuing licenses for broadcasting and the price list of transmitter rental. Blic also claimed that proposed price for national frequency license would be 15 dinars per potential viewer or listener, which mount up to annual fee of 800,000 Euro for the channel covering area of almost 5 million potential viewers.
