7 YEARS OF CURUVIJA’S MURDER

BELGRADE, April 11, 2006 – Seven years after the death of journalist Slavko Curuvija, the killers and those who ordered his murder still remain unknown. Slavko Curuvija, journalist of the Daily Telegraph and European, was murdered on Orthodox Easter, April 11, 1999, in front of his home in Belgrade. Seven years after the murder, there are still no official information on the perpetrators. In remembrance of Curuvija, The Association of Serbian Journalists (UNS) called the public and journalists to join in the protest against false promises by authorities to solve the murder case by lighting candles and laying flowers at the murder scene.
