B92 JOURNALISTS RECEIVED PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

BELGRADE, April 19, 2006 – Svetlana Lukic and Svetlana Vukovic received the Belgrade award for journalism today. Lukic and Vukovic, producers of the “Hourglass” radio program and long-time B92 employees, were, along with daily Blic Editor-in-Chief Veselin Simonovic, awarded the Belgrade City Journalism Award. This prestigious award is handed out by the City of Belgrade for works which represent the most important achievements in Belgrade in the fields of art, science, medicine, architecture, journalism, education and sport. Nominated for the award were several other B92 journalists; Danica Vucenic for the “Pointer Finger” radio show, Jugoslav Cosic for the “Polygraph” television program and Zaharije Trnavcevic for the “Knowledge as a Gift” television show. “Hourglass” is one of Radio B92’s most popular programs and airs every Friday morning at 9:30 and reruns in the afternoon at 3:30.
