BK ORGANISED PETITION SIGNING

BELGRADE, April 28, 2006 – BK organized yesterday a petition signing for the dismissal of the Serbian Broadcast Agency Council’s members and annulment of the decision to temporarily revoke their broadcasting license, said the Deputy Chief Editor Miodrag Popov. BK Television has stated that petitions will be handed out in a majority of Serbian cities as well as other places abroad, calling for the council members to be relieved of their positions and for BK’s broadcasting license to be reinstated. Popov said that the station is continuing its broadcasts via satellite and that it can be seen in certain regions in Serbia and in most of Belgrade’s suburbs, but failed to specify which stations are currently broadcasting BK’s program, because, as he claimed, he did not want to see them “ending up with the police cordons as well”.
