TADIĆ YET TO SIGN AMENDMENTS INTO LAW

BELGRADE, July 26, 2006. (Beta) - Boris Tadić has yet to sign into law the amendments and additions made to the Broadcasting Law. The Serbian Parliament adopted the changes seven days ago, regardless of the appeals of the OSCE and various experts against the amendments, calling for further public discussion of the law. Experts are calling on the Serbian President to refrain from signing the amendments into law and are asking for a new parliamentary discussion to be scheduled regarding the necessary changes.
