RADICALS ON STATE TELEVISION PROGRAM BOARD

BELGRADE, September 26, 2006. (Beta) - SRS lawmakers Aleksandar Vučić and Momir Marković are new members of the Serbian state television (RTS) Program board. Serbian parliament’s Council for Culture and Information selected them today. Previously elected members are Rajko Baralić (SPS), Aleksandar Lazarević (G17 plus), Milorad Belić (New Serbia), Vukosav Tomasević (DSS) i Dragor Hiber (DS). The parliament will however have the final say in confirming their appointments. According to the Broadcasting Law, the Board has 19 members; seven are chosen from among the members of the parliament, while the remaining 12 are nominated by the Broadcasting Agency.
