ANEM Workshop for Members: Better Understanding of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance
The second ANEM's workshop in 2010, titled "Better Understanding of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance"was held on February 17, 2010 in the premises of the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia in Belgrade. The workshop was organized with the support of Civil Rights Defenders. Guest panelists at the workshop were: Rodoljub Sabic, Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Protection of Personal Data; Miroslav Jankovic, legal advisor to the OSCE Mission in Serbia; Nemanja Nenadic from the non-governmental organization Transparency Serbia; Mirjana Jevtovic, journalist from RTV B92 and a member of the "Insider" program team; Sobodan Kremenjak, ANEM's lawyer from the Law office "Zivkovic & Samardzic".
The workshop was organized for ANEM's members and was attended by 13 representatives of 12 ANEM's stations: Radio CITY, Nis; Ema Radio, Bujanovac; Radio Bus, Kovin; Radio Sport Plus, Pirot; Radio 021, Novi Sad; Radio Boom 93, Pozarevac; Radio Kikinda and RTV VK from Kikinda; TV Pancevo, Pancevo; RTV Pannon, Subotica, RTV Kragujevac, Kragujevac and TV Alfa from Uzice. The aim of the workshop was to inform the journalists from ANEM's stations about the provisions of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance and its implementation, allowing them to use the law to their advantage in their everyday work in a more frequent and correct manner.
